The Primary Classes provide a stress free, inspiring educational environment, comprising the Lower Primary (aged 5-7), Middle Primary (aged 7-8) and the Upper Primary (aged 9-11), attending either on a full time or part time basis. The classes are limited to a maximum of 12 children attending any one session. Ideally we like children to attend a minimum of 3 days / week, for at least 1 academic year, simply as this ensures a level of continuity and better helps the child to settle quickly into the new social environment.

Flexible Schooling

The Primary Classes offer a natural progression for those children who have attended the Kindergarten. The classes are also specifically designed to meet the needs of parents who wish to take advantage of the opportunity to ‘flexi-school’ their children – attend school on a part time basis. The classes offer an ideal space for children who are home schooled but need a stress free and friendly place to socialise and work with other children. The classes are therefore able to accommodate children with a broad range of different needs and are always keen to work closely with parents, to both support and complement their home educational input. The school reserves the right to request full time attendance, where it is felt the child needs this.

Our aims are…

To provide a safe, caring and inspiring environment where children have the space to be themselves, without stress, without fear of failure, without fear of bullying. To provide a support network and space for parents and children who, for whatever reason, have opted out of the state school system. To provide a high quality educational programme individually tailored to meet the needs of each child.

Lower Primary Free Choice Period

A Modern and Holistic Curriculum

We offer a balanced, holistic curriculum designed to develop the ‘whole child’ in which each subject is given equal importance.

The timetable offers a balance between…

    • Free choice & set lessons
    • Individual tuition & group activities
    • Learning & playing
    • Intellectual & physical
    • Imaginative & Abstract
    • Self discovery & listening
    • Being & doing

Our classes have a wide range of different ages and needs so our Schemes of Work are designed to be both flexible and resourceful. Special activities can be arranged at short notice to respond to current events and interests. We do have a timetable that we work around, however, in consultation with each parent, we can provide a learning programme specifically suited to an individual child. The timetables below show how the upper and lower primary days are structured.
