Parents

As parents ourselves we like parents to take an active role in their child’s education.

The level of involvement is open to each individual parent.

Parental involvement, however small, is always welcome!

We have a Parent’s Committee, which meets at least once every term. The role of the Committee is to discuss all issues affecting the school and to debate any changes to the school. The committee works specifically as an advisory body and as a coordinator for Fund Raising. The committee also provides parents with an opportunity to socialise and feel part of the school community. As we are presently in the process of trying to raise funds to move to new premises we currently also have a Fund Raising Committee, which meets every other month.

With prior arrangement, parents are always welcome to stay at our school, if they want to help settle in their child or are just curious to see what we all get up to. We always ensure that parents are kept well informed about their child’s progress. This is done throughout the school year and at least once every two years through a home visit. Likewise we expect parents to also keep us informed about their child, particularly if the child is also being home-schooled.
