Leaving School Naturally we would like all our children to start with us at 2 ½ and leave at 16. However we fully understand that some children will only attend the nursery class and others will join us at the primary or secondary stage. Whatever you choose to do we aim to always help make the transition as smooth as possible and support you in whatever decision you make. Since starting our school we have established links with some local infant and primary schools and can offer fairly impartial advice! A question many parents ask us is how does a child go from our school to the very different environment of a state school? And the answer we always give is this. At our school our most cherished aim is to build your child’s confidence and awareness. When children are at peace with themselves and are full of self-confidence they are better equipped to cope with whatever life should bring their way. Experience of children who have left our school certainly bears this out. In terms of making the transition academically you will find usually that your child is at least equal to his peers and in most cases more advanced, as although they have attended fewer lessons their education has been far more thorough and far reaching. |
