The New Forest Small School is currently a small-scale Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary school for children aged between 2 and 16, situated in the heart of the New Forest. The school is about to move into large new premises. The school is presently divided into 3 classrooms, however when we move to the new property we will be able to eventually incorporate 7 classes. We will have our own garden of over an acre, plus we will be within walking distance of open forest, ideal for walks, nature study and outdoor play. Children attend mostly on a full time basis, although some children may attend part time.

We are a secular school with no religious or ideological affiliations. We take a non-judgmental, critical view of religions, encouraging tolerance of all beliefs whilst promoting the importance of 'thinking for yourself'.

Founded in 1994 by Nicholas and Alison Alp, the New Forest Small School has enjoyed a short but successful history. To find out where the school has come from and where we hope to be going, go to our School History page.
